This is a vintage bottle from the 1950s/1960s and is the epitome of glam in a bottle! Advertisements for Le Galion Sortilege featured Hollywood bombshells like Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Bette Davis, and Grace Kelly, making it one of the most desirable scent for the finest women worldwide. This bottle is 100% authentic and does appear to have been used very minimally.
Perfumer Paul Vacher's greatest triumph for Le Galion was Sortilege, a sumptuous aldehydic perfume which he composed in 1936. It was his answer to Chanel No. 5 and was composed up of over 80 different ingredients including shimmering aldehydes, a generous dosage of Oriental roses, jasmine and woods, a hint of incense and spices on a warm, ambery base.
